🏆 #1 New York Times bestseller 🏆 Summer 2019 Kids’ Indie Next List
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ages: 3 – 7 years old
I have been both a stay-at-home mom and a working mom. Both experiences involved a day full of chores with not much time to actually sit down and spend quality time with the kids.
I always look forward to reading a book with them as it’s the one time they both sit still for a cuddle. However, they don’t always feel like reading picture books with me …
On these days, I always try to find a book that’s really fun! This is where Dragons Love Tacos comes in …..
There is no moral to this story and no hidden agenda. This book is great for reminding kids that books can be fun!
In a world full of all work and no play, Dragons Love Tacos is purely a book for a child’s entertainment.
The first page of the book reaches straight out to the young reader …
“Hey, Kid! Did you know that dragons love tacos?”
According to Dragons Love Tacos, they love beef tacos and chicken tacos. They love really big gigantic tacos and tiny little baby tacos as well.
Basically, if you want to make friends with dragons, tacos are the key!
When making tacos for dragons, the toppings need to be kept mild. Think tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. It’s exactly the kind of taco that appeals to a child.
However, dragons really don’t like spicy salsa. It makes their ears smoke, gives them tummy troubles and they snort sparks.
Comedy and chaos occurs when the young boy in the story doesn’t read the fine print on the salsa jar and accidentally feeds the dragons spicy salsa at his dragon party.
Dragons Love Tacos is humorously illustrated by Daniel Salmieri. Children are sure to love the friendliness and hilarious styling of the characters.
Daniel has collaborated on a number of books with the author, Adam Rubin who is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of ten critically-acclaimed picture books, this one included.
In a world full of all work and no play, Dragons love Tacos has no hidden agenda and is purely for a child’s enjoyment. This book is a FUN story for kids!
Dragons Love Tacos is ideal for any parents or grandparents who just want their children to love books as much as they do …
“Basically, if you want to make friends with dragons, tacos are they key!”
Please get a proof reader. I think this is an interesting book. I will not purchase it because of the error.
Disappointed 😧
Hi Beverly. Thanks for noticing and pointing it out. I have fixed it now. I did proofread it before posting it but clearly missed that one. Thanks again!
