I was given a Spot book when I was a young child. Carefully lifting the flaps and giggling with delight is one of my first memories of reading.
Being able to read them decades later to my own children is a treasured experience.
One of my personal favorites is Spot’s First Christmas. Even though childhood for me is long gone, it’s hard not to get caught up in Spot’s child-like excitement about Christmas day and the preparations that lead up to it.
Spot’s First Christmas is a fantastic addition to any Spot collection. Spot’s lift-the-flap books are timeless, and this one, in particular, makes for a great Christmas gift for young children.
Spot’s mom says, ‘’It’s Christmas Eve, Spot …’’. Spot is looking out the snow-covered window. ‘’We’ve got lots to do!’’ mom announces.
We follow Spot and his mom as they collect a tree, wrap the presents, decorate the tree, and open the door to carol singers. There are, of course, fun lift-the-flaps on all of these pages.
Spot searches for his present under the tree and manages to knock the tree over. His mom finally gets him to bed and we can lift a flap and see Santa flying past the window on his sleigh.
Christmas day arrives and we join in Spot as he unwraps his presents … a ball, a bone, a brush … and a bright blue collar.
Eric Hill was inspired to create the first Spot Book when he noticed his young son’s fascination with lifting paper flaps. In 1980’s, Where’s Spot? was published and since then, his books have been enjoyed by children around the world, selling over 60 million copies in over 60 languages.
You can’t go wrong with a Spot book and this one makes a fantastic addition to any Spot collection. The lift-the-flaps are timeless and Spot’s First Christmas makes a great gift for young children.

You had a special on three Yeti books but I don’t know how to get to your site so I can choose other books also.
