Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ages: 2 – 5 years

My little girl laughs every time we read this book.  You see, the bunnies in the story are just like her….

Cheeky!

My kids like to sleep in the same bed.  We follow the same routine every night.  Read a book, say good night, have a cuddle and then I sneak out the room.

Except lately, about five minutes after I leave the room, I can hear giggling.

Sometimes she is bear hugging her older brother, sometimes she is poking him to keep him awake, and sometimes they are both whispering about something which I’m not privy too.

Judging by the giggles, it must be really funny. Either way, this can happen 2-3 times before they go to sleep.

Sound familiar?

Bringing laughter to the daily challenges most families experience at bedtime, The Bunnies Are Not in Their Beds is a fun read-aloud bedtime story for younger children.

Night time is here and three little bunnies are shown to be tucked into bed. Mom and Dad sit in their chairs and all is quiet.

Then … ‘’Click Clack, Click Clack, Click Clack.’’

It sounds like the bunnies are not in their beds. Mom and Dad tip-toe up the stairs … the bunnies are playing with their train set!

Mom and Dad are patient at first.

‘’Back to bed, little bunnies.  No more tracks on the floor.  See you in the morning.  Good night, good night, sleep tight,’’ they say calmly.

Sound familiar?

Of course, this is repeated numerous times before Mom and Dad use their stern voice.

‘’There will be NO MORE NOISE, little bunnies!’’

‘’NOT A SOUND.’’

‘’Good night, good night, GOOD NIGHT!’’

Like most households, the bunnies finally go to sleep and Mom and Dad can finally relax!
